I was born in 1988 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Like most Eastern European countries, Bulgaria has a strong tradition in illustration. There were always books, paintings, and music around me because both of my parents are artists. At that time, my mother did illustrations for poetry and children’s books. I vividly remember these books and how much I loved them. I started creating my own illustrations at a very young age. Drawing the stories from the audiobooks I constantly listened to was my main occupation as a child. I dreamed of becoming a great illustrator and artist.

In 1992, my family migrated to Portugal and settled in a small town by the ocean called Cascais. There, I grew up drawing and studying guitar and piano. In 2003, I began studying at António Arroio Art School in Lisbon, and afterward, I graduated in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts. Since then, I have contributed my art to many books, held solo and group exhibitions, worked on animations, and founded my own publishing and animation studio, www.ribiribistudio.com. I feel very blessed to be living my childhood dream.
